Subtitle Studio - All-in-One Subtitle Tool

Subtitle Studio combines subtitle downloading and translation into one streamlined workflow. Download subtitles from any YouTube video, then translate them to 30+ languages using DeepL's neural machine translation — all without switching between tools.

How to Use Subtitle Studio

  1. Choose your input method: paste a YouTube URL or upload an existing SRT file
  2. For YouTube: select a language and format from the available subtitle tracks
  3. Download your subtitles, then optionally translate them to another language
  4. Preview translations side by side and download the translated file

Two Ways to Get Started

YouTube URL — Paste any YouTube video or Shorts URL. The tool fetches all available subtitle tracks (both manually uploaded and auto-generated) and lets you choose the language and format (SRT, VTT, or plain text).

Upload SRT — Already have an SRT file? Upload it directly and go straight to translation. Perfect for translating subtitles you've created or edited in other tools.

Powered by DeepL

Translation uses DeepL's state-of-the-art neural machine translation, supporting 30+ languages including English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and more. All subtitle timestamps are preserved perfectly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Subtitle Studio and the individual tools?

Subtitle Studio combines the Subtitle Downloader and SRT Translator into one seamless flow. Instead of downloading subtitles in one tool and uploading them in another for translation, you can do everything in one place.

Can I translate VTT or plain text subtitles?

Translation only works with SRT format, as the translator needs the SRT structure to preserve timestamps. If you download in VTT or plain text format, translation will be disabled.

Is there a limit on subtitle file size?

SRT files up to 5 MB or 50,000 characters of text are supported per translation. Most subtitle files are well within this limit.

Are my files stored on the server?

No. All files are processed in memory and immediately discarded. We never store your subtitle content.
